Noosa Ultra Trail 2026 527

//Mountain Marathon 45

45KM RUN / 1200 M ELEVATION / highly runnable

//Race Details

The Mountain Marathon will make its debut in 2027 with a 45km Point to Point run through arguably the most beautiful but also the most challenging of the entire Noosa Ultra-Trail course with 1,200m of ‘vert’.

Starting with a 2.5km climb up Black Pinch Road to Middle Lookout and then a 5 km dirt road section where you can stretch out, it’s then a tough climb up into Woondum National Park and then down to the valley floor at Madill Road.

From there runners then take on the long climb back up to the most scenic location on the entire course – James McKane Lookout.

After a quick water stop at the Lookout, it is a 5km canter down to Cooran to replenish supplies before an undulating 9km’s to Pomona along a groomed single track in Tuchekoi National Park with some sneaky little climbs before reaching the finish.

With a generous 10 hour cut off time of 5pm in Pomona this offers runners and hikers of all persuasions the chance to experience the beauty of our National Parks in the context of Queensland’s premier trail run event.

Courtesy Buses will depart each hour to take runners back to the main venue in Tewantin to enjoy a shower, food trucks and a few beverages with family and friends.
