//Race Details

Entries for 2024 Noosa Ultra-Trail will open 1 September 2023

The Cross Country 25km is a point to point trail run from Twin Hills View Lookout to Noosa District Sports Complex.

Access to the start area will only be accessed by a 30 minute courtesy bus ride from Noosa District Sports Complex to the lookout area. There will be no vehicle access along Black Pinch Road with the exception of local residents and courtesy buses.

There will be two groupings – Early Starters and Late Starters. The first 300 entrants will be given EARLY Start times. These places are expected to fill around early – mid November. The EARLY starters will be on buses leaving the Sports Complex from 6.15am – 6.50am with start times from 7.45am. Those who have entered after this will be on buses from 7.30am – 7.50am with start times from approx 8.30am.

The course starts from one of the best vistas in Noosa with 180 degree views across Lake Cootharaba and Lake Cooroibah in the east to Mount Cooroora and Mount Pinbarren in the West.

Whilst the word ‘fast’ is rarely used in trail running vernacular this is a ‘fast course’ worthy of a PB and perfectly suited for half marathon road runners as well as multi sport athletes wanting to feel the dirt under their soles!

With its ‘achievable’ distance and kilometres of smooth surfaces to be run on this is slated to be the most popular and enjoyable events for runners of all types on the Noosa Ultra-Trail® schedule!

I love Noosa, it is a beautiful place with a rich history in endurance events. As someone who has seen first hand the growth of trail running, I'm excited to come up to Noosa - so join me at the Noosa Ultra-Trail, a fun and challenging new run festival in the Noosa Hinterland.

As a local I love the diversity of the landscapes and friendliness in the small towns. I’ve been part of the discussions with the community about the Trail Network upgrades and how to make the trails more usable, so it’s great to see a new event like the Noosa Ultra-Trail enticing more people to our patch of paradise.
