The Forest 15 is for anyone wishing to experience a morning in one of Noosa’s iconic forests for some off road running, jogging or even power walking!
Whilst there is only one hill to navigate a reasonable degree of fitness is required to tackle this little gem. Rest assured in the world of trail running distances can be deceiving and things are often harder than they appear on paper!
So for novice trail runners, those wishing to ‘step up’ from a 10km road run or to even get some dirt under their shoes or to even see what the fuss is all about then this is a good entre to our world!
With a looped course in Tewantin Forest Reserve this run is 63% trail / soft surface and 37% paved surface. There is some nice variety including some ‘single track’ as well as sections where you can let loose a little!
Some training on trails is recommended before you try this event to get used to soft and sometimes rocky or unstable terrain you find in the forests and national parks.
Having said all of that you can simply walk if it all becomes too much!!
